General inspection method (applicable to all accessories)
Look at the appearance and craftsmanship details.
High-quality parts have smooth, even surfaces with no burrs, scratches, porosity, or casting defects. In contrast, low-quality parts often feature low mold precision, rough edges, and even obvious flash or deformation.
Metal components (such as brake discs and sprockets) have an even plating with no rust or chipped paint. Plastic components (such as housings and fenders) are highly resilient and don't easily crack or shatter when pressed; in contrast, low-quality plastics are brittle, hard, and prone to breaking.
The joints and screw holes of the accessories are precisely aligned, ensuring a perfect fit with the original vehicle components during installation. In contrast, low-quality parts have misaligned holes; forcing them into place can damage the original vehicle’s structure.
Practical Measurement Tips
For rubber accessories (such as seals and belts), perform a bending test: High-quality products will show no white marks after bending and will return to their original shape when released; low-quality products, on the other hand, will develop white marks at the bend or even break outright.
For electrical components (such as spark plugs and relays), you can use a multimeter to perform tests: The resistance of the spark plug electrodes should meet the specified standards; after power is applied, the relay should engage smoothly without any sticking or unusual noises.
